Manuscripts submitted to our journal are first subjected to a preliminary evaluation by the editorial board in terms of compliance with the journal’s principles. Manuscripts that fall outside the scope of the journal or do not conform to the content and formal requirements of a scientific article may be rejected without initiating the peer-review process or may be returned to the authors with a request for revisions. Academic impartiality and scientific quality are the most important criteria in the evaluation of manuscripts submitted for publication.
Manuscripts submitted to our journal in accordance with the publication rules are sent for evaluation to two referees who have conducted studies in the relevant field. Our journal applies a double-blind peer-review system. The identities of the referees and the author(s) are kept confidential throughout the review process. If one of the two referees evaluating the manuscript submits a positive report and the other submits a negative report, the manuscript is sent to a third referee.
In studies submitted to our journal, authors are expected to take into account the criticisms and suggestions of the referees and the editorial board. If there are points with which they disagree, they have the right to object by stating their reasons.
Under normal circumstances, the referee evaluation period of our journal is as follows: the preliminary evaluation stage by the editorial board takes 3–4 days. Each referee is given 30 days for evaluation, and if revisions are requested, the author is also given 30 days to complete the revisions. Under these conditions, the entire evaluation process of a manuscript is expected to be completed within 60–90 days. However, the review process may be prolonged due to reasons such as the failure of referees to respond on time and the need to appoint new referees, or it may be shortened due to reasons such as referees submitting their reports before the final evaluation date or authors completing the required revisions in a short time.
Author(s) who submit manuscripts to our journal are deemed to have accepted the aforementioned evaluation conditions and process. Authors may not withdraw their manuscripts or submit them to another journal after the preliminary evaluation by the editorial board until the completion of the review process.
The copyright of works that are decided to be published (accepted) in our journal is deemed to have been transferred to our journal.
